Greetings from the owner of Positive Path!
Sari has always had the passion for helping and enjoy seeing the change and progress her clients make during our time together in counseling setting and collecting comprehensive personal information when completing Diagnostic Psychological Assessments. She has worked practicing counseling part-time in my practice since 2012 and as a School Psychologist (LSSP) in several school districts around DFW area for 12 years. After working with students and helping them thrive, she was able to quit her full-time job and move to practice full-time in 2023 to focus on her passion; helping people in the private practice setting.
Sari loves working with people and creating connections with culturally diverse people with different ethnic backgrounds in individual counseling and has completed a multitude of Diagnostic Psychological Assessments since 2008 when she first completed her year-long internship and later worked for several years in Dallas County Juvenile Detention Center conducting counseling services and completing court ordered Psychological Assessments. Since then, she has also worked in many DFW area school districts as a School Psychologist. She enjoys working together with children as young as 5 years and older, teenagers, adults, couples, and families and with different people, with different ages, and different approaches in life, and always learn something from each one of you.
She moved to Texas from Finland in 1999, and her native language is Finnish. Since she moved here and uprooted myself from what she called home for a long time, she has gained new experiences and relationships, had many moments of happiness and joy, got several degrees at school, and had many jobs but also experiences personal struggles such as divorce, single parenthood, losses, and blending families. But everything she has experienced has grown her both personally and professionally. She now live with her husband, one of our four children, and two dogs in their home in Frisco.
